Kythira, the island of Kytherea Aphrodite, is a magical place. It is also called Cerigo (or Tsirigo). Kythira is a unique mixture of different civilisations influenced by both Aegean and Ionian, which in the course of time have acquired their own character and style. Unexpected and dreamy landscapes, hospitable and warm people, a slow pace of life; everything is filled with a unique fascinating intensity. The mild climate, the diverse landscape combining the beauty of the sea with the high mountain peaks, the imposing castles, beautiful monasteries, important archaeological findings, lush vegetation, and the waterfalls and caves compose the image of Kythira and attract more and more visitors every year.
